Namma Nimmolagobba - one among us as it translates in English is a thriller. The play written by well known theater thespian Rajendra Karanth is a classic play with all the ingredients to place the audience at the edge of their seat. This play has been successfully staged several times by several generations of theater enthusiasts.

ನಾಟಕದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ: ನಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೊಬ್ಬ ರಾಜೇಂದ್ರ ಕಾರಂತರ ಬತ್ತಳಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಅದ್ಬುತ ಥ್ರಿಲ್ಲರ್ ನಾಟಕ. ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ನಾಟಕ ಮುಗಿಯುವವರೆಗೂ ಸೀಟ್ ತುದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂರಿಸುವ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ ಇರುವ ನಾಟಕ. ಅನೇಕ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿರುವ ಈ ನಾಟಕದ ಪ್ರಕಸಂ ಅವತರಿಣಿಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ.

ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಸಿರುವ ಭಾಷೆ ಮಲೆನಾಡ ಸೊಗಡನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ವೀಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ಮುದ ನೀಡುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೀಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕುಮಾರಪರ್ವತದ ತಪ್ಪಲಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮನೆಯ ಸೆಟ್ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಆಪ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಹಾಗು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಅತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಗಾಭರಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುವ ಒಂದು ಕೊಲೆ. ಮನೆಗೆ ತನಿಖೆಗೆ ಬರುವ ಇನ್ಸ್ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ನಿಮ್ಮಲಿಯೇ ಕೊಲೆಗಾರ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದಾಗ ಆಗುವ ಭಯ ಹಾಗು ತನಿಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ತಿರುವುಗಳು ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ಹೆಣೆದಿರುವ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೊಲೆಗಾರ ಯಾರು ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೂ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಥ್ರಿಲ್ಲರ್ ಮೂಡಿಬರುತ್ತದೆ.

About the play: The plot holds the audiences with well written lines, gripping stage play and sets are added attractions of this play. The highlight of the play is the language used throughout making it authentic to the malnad region of Karnataka. The ever pouring rains and famous kumara parvatha form the background of the play and the actors add life to an already alive atmosphere created on stage.

A family that has lived all its life on the banks of a river and at the bottom of a mountain is under attack by a stranger. The guests in the house are as horrified as the owners trying to figure out who is the murderer.

A play that has thrill and humor all along will take you on an astonishing and happy ride while it exists.
