What's Home Theatre?

The Covid-19 lockdown of the world impacted our team too. Two of our slated shows in March got cancelled. We were in total lockdown. But we wanted to do something new and unique, which led us to Home Theatre. Its a culmination of like minded people and friends of PD & Prakasam who came together to make it happen. Some of them are top line celebrities & some are doing anything like this for the first time in their life. ಕರೋನ ಗಲಾಟೆಯಿಂದ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೋಲ್ ಸೇಲ್ ಆಗಿ ಮನೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಹಳೇ ಸುದ್ದಿ. ಸೇರಿದಾಗ ಏನು ಮಾಡುವುದು, ದಿನಾ ಇಡೀ ಊರು ಸುತ್ತುತಿದ್ದ ನನ್ನ ತರದವರಿಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಶಾಪ ಆಯ್ತು ಈ ಲಾಕ್ ಡೌನ್ ಸುದ್ದಿ. ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದ ಎರಡೂ ನಾಟಕಗಳು ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸಲ್ ಆಯ್ತು. ಮಾರ್ಚ್ ೨೨ನೇ ತಾರೀಕು ನಾಟಕ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸಲ್ ಆದಮೇಲೆ ಏನಾದರೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು, ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಜಡಭರತನಾಗುವುದು ನನಗಂತೂ ಇಷ್ಟ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಇದು ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾಜದಿಂದ ಹರಡೋ ವೈರಸ್. ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಏನು ಮಾಡೋಣ ಅಂತ ಯೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ couch potato ಅನ್ನೋ ಒಂದು ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಐಡಿಯಾ ಬಂತು.

ಕಲಾವಿದರು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಾದಾಗ ಈ ತರಹದ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಾಪಟ್ಟೆ ಅನುಕೂಲ ಆಗುತ್ತೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕುಳಿತು ಒಂದೊಂದು ಕಥೆ ಓದಿ ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ಮಾಡೋಣ ಅಂತ ಮನಸಾಯಿತು. ಓದುವುದರ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ಮಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಎಡಿಟ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ಮಾಡೋಣ ಅಂತ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದೆ. ನಂತರದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಯಾವ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಓದುವುದು ಎನ್ನೋದು. ಸಡನ್ನಾಗಿ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕ ಬಂದದ್ದು ಜೋಗಿಯವರ ಲೈಫ್ ಈಸ್ ಬ್ಯೂಟಿಫುಲ್, ನನ್ನ ನಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಅದನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸಣ್ಣ ಸಣ್ಣ ಯೋಚನೆಗಳ ಹಾಗು ಈಗಿನ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಬರಹ ಆಪ್ಯಾಯವೆನಿಸಿತು.  ಜೊಗಿಯವರು ಕೇಳಿದ ತಕ್ಷಣ ತಮ್ಮ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಲು ಅನುಮತಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಹೋಮ್ ಥಿಯೇಟರ್ ಎನ್ನೋ ನಾಮಕರಣ ಕೂಡ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ಹಾಗೆ ಮೊದಲನೇ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ನೋಡು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಮುಗಿದೇ ಹೋಯಿತು. ಇನ್ನೂ ಅನೇಕ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಮಾಡು ಎನ್ನುವ ಸಲಹೆ ಬಂದಿತು.  ಆಗ ನಮ್ಮ ವಸುದೇಂಧ್ರರವರು ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಚೊಕ್ಕ ಕಾದಂಬರಿ ಅಂದಾಗ ಕೇಶವ ಮಳಗಿರವರ "ಅಂಗದ ಧರೆ" ಕಿರು ಕಾದಂಬರಿ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.  ಕೇಶವ ಮಳಗಿರವರು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಅವರ ಒಪ್ಪಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.  ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಈ lockdown ಮುಗಿಯೋ ಒಳಗೆ ಎರಡು ಪುಸ್ತಕ ತಯಾರಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ಜೊತೆ ನಿಂತ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ನೀಡಿದ ನಿಮಗೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು.
